May 21, (THEWILL) — Vanessa Trump, ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr., has revealed she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
She shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday.
“I want to share a personal health update. I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan”, she wrote.
She also thanked her doctors for a procedure performed earlier in the week and expressed optimism.
“I am focused and hopeful and surrounded by the support of my family. Thank you for your kindness and support — it truly means more than I can express. I kindly ask for privacy as I focus on my health and recovery.”
Vanessa, 48, was married to Donald Trump Jr. from 2005 to 2018, and the couple have five children together.
She has recently been in the public eye due to her relationship with golf star, Tiger Woods.
Before joining the Trump family, Vanessa worked as a model and appeared in the 2003 film “Something’s Gotta Give” alongside Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton.
Ivanka Trump, Vanessa’s former sister-in-law, was among those sending well wishes following the announcement.
