March 19, (THEWILL) — Gospel singer Judith Kanayo-Opara, popularly known as Judikay, has shared a deeply personal account of losing her sixth pregnancy in a video posted on Instagram.
She revealed that the miscarriage occurred in February 2025, when she was over three months pregnant.
What began as mild cramps and light spotting quickly escalated to heavy bleeding, prompting a hospital visit.
Doctors confirmed a missed miscarriage and performed a D&C procedure, a common medical procedure to remove remaining tissue from the uterus after a miscarriage.
“I was going about my day, and I started to experience cramps… and then trickles of blood… What I thought should be urine was blood. It didn’t stop, it kept on flowing and I was devastated because I understood what that meant. Automatically, I had lost this baby… and that was the sixth time,” she said.
Judikay also spoke about the challenge of maintaining her faith publicly while grieving privately.
“In the silence of the night, I would wail and cry, saying, ‘Jesus, where are you?’ even as I told others, ‘God gets the glory,’” she explained.
Judikay is married to Anselem Opara, and the couple welcomed their first child in March 2022. Fans have expressed support and empathy in response to her candid revelation.
