Moet Abebe

October 14, (THEWILL) – Media personality, Moet Abebe, says she cannot date men who don’t live on Lagos island.

Moet is the daughter of businessman and socialite, John Abebe, who is serving a seven-year jail term for forgery.

Moet said calling someone living on the mainland late at night might result in excuses such as it being too late or concerns about police presence as reasons not to meet.

“I have always said this thing, I cannot necessarily date someone that lives on the mainland,” she said.

“I feel like if I call you at 11 pm, you will probably give me some story like it is too late, there are police on the street, I cannot come.”

Recently, Moet stated that she prefers older men, not more than 50 years.

In 2021, Abebe stated her disinterest in marriage, dubbing it a fraud.

In June, she shared details of enduring an abusive relationship with her ex-fiance for about two and a half years.

Recently, she remarked on the societal pressure leading many women to marry for the wrong reason.

“I have just noticed that a lot of people are getting married for the wrong reasons. A lot of people are doing it because of pressure,” she said.

Known for her roles as a television presenter, video jockey, and On Air Personality, Abebe has also ventured into acting.
