October 14, (THEWILL) – The Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, has said that Enyimba goalkeeper, Olorunleke Ojo, must join the Super Eagles squad before their next friendly match against Mozambique.

The Portuguese football coach wants to work with four goalkeepers ahead of Monday’s clash at the Estádio Municipal de Albufeira in Albufeira.

The arrival of Hapoel Jerusalem star, Adebayo Adeleye, on Friday, brought the number of goalkeepers in camp to three. Although Adeleye was named in the matchday squad, he did not have a chance of playing against Saudi Arabia, as he did not train with the team before the friendly and was also jetlagged.

Olorunleke Ojo was issued a visa on Wednesday and travelled via Royal Air Maroc from Lagos on Friday morning. Peseiro wants to assess Ojo again at the training camp in Faro before next month’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.

Like Francis Uzoho and Maduka Okoye, Ojo also lacks match fitness, as he has been inactive for Enyimba since 27 August when he started against Al-Ahli Benghazi in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
