February 12, (THEWILL) — Nigerian music star, Tuface Idibia, has addressed public assumptions about his personal life, stressing that he is not a womaniser but someone who loves deeply.
In an interview with the Voice of Nigeria, the singer said he is often misunderstood.
“The biggest misconception about me is that I’m a womaniser. I like women; I’m just straightforward. But I’m a lover boy. I love hard”, Tuface said.
The singer reflected on fatherhood and the challenge of balancing his career with raising his children. He said he feels blessed to have eight children, but wishes he had spent more time with them. Despite this, he described them as his greatest joy.
“I have eight kids now. I feel blessed and happy, but the sadness comes from the fact that I haven’t gotten to spend the type of time I should have spent with them collectively. It does something to me sometimes. They’re amazing, brilliant people.”
Tuface also responded to public comments about his wife, Natasha, especially claims that she is controlling or heavily influencing his decisions. He said such narratives are far from the truth.
“Everybody has a say in everybody’s business now. Sometimes people say very nasty things.
“You grow thick skin, but sometimes it gets to you. Reality is reality, she’s a brilliant woman, a strong woman.”
The singer added that he is naturally shy, even though his career requires him to perform on big stages.
“My profession doesn’t permit me to be shy, but I’m actually a very shy person.
“Sometimes I just want to be alone and chill. Other times I want to hang out. I like nature; I have my moments.”
