March 13, (THEWILL) — Content creator and social media influencer, Mitchell Mukoro, widely known as King Mitchy, has apologised for her recent actions on social media, including a live incident in which she consumed a substance believed to be bleach.
In a video shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, the influencer apologised to Seyi Tinubu, activist Martins Vincent Otse (VeryDarkMan), and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
“I’m ready to be held accountable for my actions. For some days I’ve thought about my behaviour, and I know that I was wrong and I want to be held accountable.
“For the substance I took on live video, that was very wrong of me because there are young girls who are looking up to me one day, and I know I disappointed a lot of people. That was wrong of me, I was wrong”, she stated.
She also apologised to Seyi Tinubu, “And my boss ST (Seyi Tinubu), I’m so sorry. I know I apologised privately, but I did not disrespect you privately; I disrespected you publicly, so I want to apologise publicly. I’m so sorry, sir. I want you to know that I will never take your support for granted.”
Speaking about the Ooni of Ife, King Mitchy apologised while kneeling in the video. “I’m so sorry, sir. I’m so sorry for bringing your name into this, I’m so sorry, Daddy”, she said.
Mitchy also apologised to VeryDarkMan, describing him as her “brother”, and acknowledged his advocacy for Nigerians, saying she now understands and respects his work.
The apology follows weeks of controversy that began in February after Mitchy said she renovated a run-down school in six days, claiming real change could happen quickly with commitment. Her remarks were seen as criticism of VeryDarkMan, who accused her of being used as a political tool to promote the administration of Bola Tinubu.
The situation escalated when Mitchy shared what she described as a private conversation with Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, saying that “even this king” had contacted her, drawing criticism online.
Tensions grew further when VeryDarkMan alleged that Seyi Tinubu was sponsoring her charitable activities. Mitchy later said the backlash led to the loss of her Instagram business account.
The controversy escalated during a live video in which Mitchy appeared distressed while consuming a substance believed to be bleach. Her management later claimed she had died at Prime Care Hospital, but the hospital denied it, and the statement was withdrawn, confirming she was alive and recovering.
Earlier, Seyi Tinubu also denied any involvement in the dispute between Mitchy and VeryDarkMan.
