May 04, (THEWILL) — Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is reportedly putting his $500 million superyacht, Koru, up for sale, according to Page Six.
The 417-foot sailing yacht, one of the world’s largest, has reportedly become difficult to manage and maintain.
Koru is accompanied by a $75 million support vessel, Abeona, and operating both reportedly costs between $25 million and $50 million per year.
The yacht accommodates 18 guests across nine staterooms and requires a crew of 36. Its luxury features include a glass-bottom pool, three jacuzzis, multiple decks, a gym, spa, and helipad.
Built by Dutch yacht manufacturer Oceanco, Koru made its first sea trial in the North Sea in 2023.
One of its most recognizable features is a wooden mermaid sculpture on the prow, representing the Norse goddess Freyja, not his wife, Lauren Sánchez, as widely speculated.
The yacht has been central to Bezos and his wife Sánchez’s global travels and has hosted several celebrities, including Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Katy Perry.
Koru also featured prominently during the couple’s Venice wedding celebrations in 2025.
