January 08, (THEWILL) — Renowned Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and her husband, Dr. Ivara Esege, are mourning the heartbreaking loss of one of their twin sons, Nkanu Nnamdi, who passed away after a brief illness.
The devastating news was confirmed on Thursday, January 8, 2026, and was earlier announced during the ARISE News Morning Show, where viewers were informed of the family’s loss.
According to a statement issued by Omawumi Ogbe on behalf of the family, the 21-month-old toddler died on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
