Guardiola and Serra share three children: Maria, 24, Marius, 22 and Valentina, 17. While Guardiola resides in Manchester, Serra, a Brazilian journalist, has been living in Barcelona with their youngest daughter, Valentina.

The decision to divorce was reportedly made in December, with close friends and family being informed and asked to maintain privacy regarding the situation.
