June 04, (THEWILL) – Nollywood actress, Biola Adebayo, has publicly announced her separation from her husband, Oluwaseyi Akinrinde, revealing that their marriage ended in April 2024.
The actress made the announcement via a heartfelt Instagram post on Tuesday while extending birthday wishes to her former spouse. She also emphasised their commitment to co-parenting their son amicably.
“Happy birthday to my ex-husband and my baby daddy. I pray that grace will abound unto you. I pray you find peace in all your ways. May God continue to light your path and bless you beyond your expectations, in Jesus’ name. My husband and I have been separated since April last year, but we have decided to maturely and peacefully co-parent our dear son, who means everything to us”, she wrote
Adebayo also opened up about the emotional toll of their separation.
“While I appear strong publicly, this has been a challenging journey. But I gain strength from Christ, who loves me eternally and gave Himself for me”, she added.
The couple got married in April 2021 after a brief courtship and welcomed their son via surrogacy in 2023.
Adebayo asked for understanding and prayers from fans as she navigates this difficult chapter.
“Let’s learn to be kind—you never know what others are going through”, she said.
Fans and colleagues have flooded social media with messages of support, commending her maturity in handling the situation.
