June 2, (THEWILL)- About two weeks ago, the Osile of Oke-Ona Egba, His Royal Highness, Oba Adedapo Tejuoso, CON (Karunwi II), celebrated the 35th anniversary of his coronation. The 86-year-old had moved into the palace with his three queens – Olori Omolara, Olori Yetunde and Olori Olabisi in 1989.
The event began with a 35-hour marathon praise session themed, ‘God’s Festival,’ at the Obasanjo Presidential Library, which was led by juju exponent turned clergyman, Evangelist Ebenezer Fabiyi Obey. Other ministers of the gospel took their turns to render praises unto God on behalf of the king for preserving his life, despite a prophecy that he would not live more than two years on the throne. There was a soft premiere of a movie based on his true-life story during the marathon praise and prayer session.
The real premiere comes up in three months’ time. Other activities that took place in commemoration of the anniversary were a three-day crusade and chieftaincy installation. A special Jumat service was held prior to the actual event while the event was rounded up with a thanksgiving service at St James’ Cathedral, Idi-Ape, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
