April 08, (THEWILL) — The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced the dates for the 99th and 100th Academy Awards ceremonies.
The 99th Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 14, 2027, while the 100th edition is set for Sunday, March 5, 2028. Both ceremonies will air live at 7 p.m. ET on ABC across more than 200 territories.
Both events will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, which has hosted the awards since 2002.
The 2028 ceremony will be the final one at the venue, as the Oscars will move to the Peacock Theater in 2029 under a long-term agreement running through 2039.
The 2027 and 2028 editions will also mark the final years of the Oscars’ broadcast on ABC before the ceremony moves to YouTube from 2029.
Hosts for both ceremonies have not yet been announced.
