
December 15, (THEWILL) – The 13th edition of Best of Nollywood Award, BON the brain child of media personality, Seun Oloketuyi took place on Saturday, December 11, 2021 in Lokoja, Kogi State capital.
The event which was well attended by movie practitioners had the governor of the state, Yahaya Bello and the first lady of the state, Rashidat Bello in attendance.
Folashade Ayoade, the Secretary to the State Government was also in attendance.
The event was hosted by Denrele Edun.
Stakeholders in the movie industry carted home several awards in different categories.
Charles Okpaleke’s movie, Rattlesnake and Desmond Obviaghele’s movie, The Milkmaid emerged the biggest winners at the award.

Most Promising Actress of the year- Anthonieta Kalunta
Best Actress in Leading Role- Bolaji Ogunmola
Best Actor in Supporting Role- Buchi Franklin
Best Actress in Supporting Role- Ebenezer Eno
Best Actor in a Leading Role (Yoruba)- Samuel Oniyitan
Best Actor in Leading Role- Stan Nze
Movie of the Year- The Milkmaid
Director of the Year – Desmond Obviaghele
Best Cinematography-Rattlesnake
Movie with Best Editing- Rattlesnake
Revelation of the Year (Female)-Stephanie Zibis
Revelation of the Year (Male)-Emmanuel Wilson
Special Recognition Award- Abiola Atana. Also known as Madam Kofo. She was recognized for putting Nollywood on the map of world industries for more than five decades
Special Recognition Award- late Chico Ejiro. He was recognized for his contribution to the growth and development of the industry
Special Recognition Award- Africa Magic. For it’s contribution to the growth and development of the movie industry.
