Honourable Seyi Adisa, a former Principal Private Secretary to the immediate past Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi and the lawmaker representing Afijio Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, has been named as one of the 22 young African leaders selected for the 2023 Archbishop Tutu leadership fellowship.

The lawmaker was selected among over three hundred and eighty nominations of outstanding personalities across Africa, including Cote D’Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa and Uganda.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu Leadership Fellowship is dedicated to identifying, nurturing and equipping Africa’s future leaders with experiences, insights, and tools so that African-led solutions are developed to address Africa’s challenges. The Institute provides a platform for diverse young African leaders to network, and engage in peer-to-peer learning and cross-border collaborations.

Adisa was selected in recognition of his quality leadership style, his contribution to the inclusion and participation of young people in politics and governance.

The lawmaker has a track record of active involvement in creating programs to drive youth participation in politics, youth empowerment through skill acquisition, sports, leadership development and ICT, with a view to developing young Nigerian leaders.
