January 12, (THEWILL) — Teyana Taylor and Timothée Chalamet were among the biggest winners at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, held in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 11, as Hollywood celebrated the top film and television achievements of 2025.
Taylor won her first Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her role as Perfidia Beverly Hills in One Battle After Another.
During her acceptance speech, she praised director Paul Thomas Anderson, saying, “Thank you for your vision, your trust and your brilliance. My gratitude is endless.”
She also delivered a powerful message to Black women watching at home, stating, “To my brown sisters and little brown girls watching tonight… Our softness is not a liability. Our depth is not too much. Our light does not need permission to shine. We belong in every room we walk into. Our voices matter and our dreams deserve space.”
Chalamet also claimed a major career milestone, winning his first Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for his performance in Marty Supreme. He won the award over nominees such as Leonardo DiCaprio and George Clooney.
One Battle After Another was the most awarded film of the night, winning four awards, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Director.
On the television side, Netflix’s Adolescence led the categories, also winning four awards.
