SAN FRANCISCO, January 12, (THEWILL) – Kijakazi Pazi Shaban, a household Tanzanian female artiste, has been beaten to death by her husband, Hamad Ally, a police officer.
According to reports from Tanzania, the artiste popularly known as Zamzam, died in her house in Musoma after being ruthlessly beaten while her husband took her body to a morgue in Temeke, Dar es Salaam, where he reported that she died as a result of injuries suffered from stomach ulcer.
However, post-mortem performed at a Temeke hospital on Zamzam’s body revealed that the singer succumbed to her injuries following a beating.
“Sad news about Zamzam’s death reached us, and we were informed that she died as a result of stomach ulcers,” the family of the deceased revealed.
“Her husband then said he would bury her in Kilimanjaro area; but as family, we had to know why, and when.
“Zamzam had in the past sent gory photos of her deformed, wounded face to friends, saying she had been cruelly beaten by her husband – and that if anything would happen to her, then her husband should be held accountable.”
The husband has been arrested and is being questioned at Chang’ombe police station while Zamzam’s death is still being investigated by the police.
