October 13, (THEWILL) — Reality TV star Natacha “Tacha” Akide, who shot to fame after her appearance on Big Brother Naija Season 4, has successfully completed a 24-hour Guinness World Record attempt for the most makeovers done in a single day, achieving an impressive 145 transformations.
The record attempt, held at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History in Lagos, began on Saturday, October 11, and ended at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Despite minor setbacks, including a brief power outage, Tacha remained undeterred and completed the marathon challenge without interruption.
Over the 24-hour period, she showcased her artistry by transforming 145 models of various body types and skin tones, including popular influencers such as Mitchy, Venita Akpofure, Wanni, and Handi.
The feat was part of the Tacha Beauty Festival, which also featured professional photo sessions and runway showcases of each completed makeover.
The event attracted several celebrities, influencers, and dignitaries, including Alex Unusual, Toke Makinwa, Dabota Lawson, Soma Anyama, Slimcase, Ice Prince, and the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Idris Aregbe.
Speaking on her motivation, Tacha said she chose to host the record attempt in Nigeria instead of the United Kingdom to celebrate local creativity and spotlight the country’s growing beauty and fashion industry.
She is currently awaiting official confirmation from Guinness World Records.
