March 18, (THEWILL) — Nigerian midfielder, Jennifer Echegini, scored twice to fire Paris Saint-Germain Women into the semi-finals of the 2025/2026 Coupe de France Féminine, with a 2-1 victory over Dijon Foot at Stade Gaston-Gérard on Wednesday evening.
Nicknamed “Joe”, Echegini opened the scoring late in the first half before Léa Declercq levelled from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute. With the tie in the balance, the 24-year-old struck again in the 87th minute from a Merveille Kanjinga assist, completing her brace to send PSG into the last four.
Dijon, competing from a lower tier of French football, tested the Parisian side throughout. Their goalkeeper and defence held firm for long stretches, and Declercq’s spot-kick briefly made an upset a genuine possibility before Echegini’s late intervention settled the contest.
Super Falcons forward, Rasheedat Ajibade, also started the tie for PSG before making way early in the second half. PSG now await the semi-final draw after a campaign that already included a narrow defeat to Lyon in the final of the inaugural LFFP Cup.
