SAN FRANCISCO, October 26, (THEWILL) – US born-again rapper, Kanye West, has opened up on his political ambition saying he got a revelation from God to run for office and become the president of the United States.
Kanye disclosed this while speaking with Joe Rogan’s podcast on Saturday evening, saying that the idea to run for the president of the United States came while he was in the shower.
He said: “It hit me in the shower and when I first started to think of it, I just started laughing at myself and joy came over my body.
“I had different friends, some people in the music industry, tech elites. They just really took it as a joke. They’re telling me all these millions of reasons why I couldn’t.
“I remember running into Oprah one or two days after that (the award), she said, ‘You don’t want to be president’ (laughs).”
THEWILL reports that Kanye’s presidential bid is a very long shot, as he is not even polling at all in polls conducted ahead of the election.
