SAN FRANCISCO, November 30, (THEWILL) – Rapper Mark Antonyyo Alexander popularly called Lil Yase, has been shot dead in northern California.
Police officials said he was killed near the East Dublin BART Station, about 20 miles from San Francisco, on Saturday morning.
When police arrived at the scene around 1 a.m, the 26-year-old suffered from multiple gunshot wounds and was transported via ambulance to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley where he later died.
A statement, released by Yase’s Record label, Highway 420 Productions, stated that: “We appreciate all the love and support. Yase loved his fans, he worked every day for y’all. We have hundreds of songs coming for you.”
TMZ stated that his death is a mystery as there is no explanation for the police not making any arrest yet.
However, police say that they are still investigating and urged anyone with any information about the case to contact the Dublin Police.
