Must Read

You can now purchase a piece of martial arts legend Bruce Lee‘s childhood.

A handwritten and signed essay that Lee penned as a high school student in Hong Kong in the late 1950s is being auctioned off Thursday. Bidding begins at $5,000 for the essay, which shows his attempts to master the English language with multiple scratch-outs and penned-in corrections.

Lee wrote the paper, about the history of aviation, while he was a student at St. Francis Xaviar College in Hong Kong. It’s one of the first known examples of his signature and handwriting.
