Hollywood Actor Patrick Muldoon Dead At 57 After Sudden Heart Attack

April 20, (THEWILL) — American actor, Patrick Muldoon, has died at the age of 57.

He died suddenly on Sunday, April 19, 2026, after suffering a heart attack at his Beverly Hills home, his manager confirmed.

Reports say his partner, Miriam Rothbart, found him unconscious on the bathroom floor after he went to take a shower. Paramedics were unable to revive him.

Muldoon rose to fame as Austin Reed on “Days of Our Lives” in the 1990s, a role he later reprised in the 2010s. He also appeared in “Melrose Place” as Richard Hart and in “Saved by the Bell.”

In film, he is best known for “Starship Troopers” (1997).

Muldoon was also active as a producer and was working on upcoming projects, including the crime thriller “Dirty Hands”, set for release later this month.

Just two days before his death, he posted on Instagram about producing the film “Kockroach”, which is currently in production.

Tributes from colleagues and fans described him as charismatic and generous.

He is survived by his partner, Miriam Rothbart, and his family.
